Well, it has been eight Saabs since 1994, and between ourselves and our son, we still own six of them. All have been very reliable, partially due to the Saabnet community sharing so much information on how to maintain these vehicles. Over the past three years we have bought three 9000s, given their very affordable used pricing and superb condition (97 9000 at 45,000 miles, 94 9000 at 57,000 miles and 91 9000 at 135,000 miles). Saabnet has enable us to affordably maintain them.
1995 900SE - picked up in Trollhatten and drove through Europe for three
weeks sold in 2000 to be replaced by a new 9-5
1990 900 - son's car, totaled by Grand Cherokee head on - son walked away
with no injuries. This experience really sold us on Saab's well
deserved reputation for safety.
1994 9000 Aero (now at 103,000 miles)
2000 9-5 - sold to son in 2004
2004 9-5 Aero
1997 9000CSE
1994 9000CSE - sold to son in 2005
1991 9000 - bought in 2007 with 135,000 miles and is a absolute blast to
drive
In our experience, no other manufacturer produces vehicles that can excel at as many diverse aspects of the driving experience as does Saab.
