Do you like the car? If you do, keep it. And then --
Step 1 - get away from the dealer, find a decent indy mechanic who knows SAAB.
Step 2 - go to eEuroparts and price the parts you need. Even if you don't purchase them this gives you a baseline of expectations for parts prices.
Step 3 - be realistic. This is a 7 yr old SAAB. It's a great car and it will go for a long, long time. But it doesn't do that for free. Maintenance needs to be done (see the records from the p.o.) and repairs will need to happen. Take care of the car proactively, and it will take care of you.
Step 4 - read SAABnet. A lot. It is amazingly helpful, whether you fix your own cars (obvious value there) or not (become an educated consumer).
Good luck!
