I already shift into 3rd before going into revers. The thing is, I rode with the guy so "I could ride in the car" in order to see what his driving style was like. He didn't let the clutch slip at all and drove it pretty gently. He didn't strike as the kinda guy who would drive hard and beat the hell out of the car - if you know what I mean. Also, he primarily used the car to drive to his lake home on the weekends so it wasn't driven in traffic commuting to work. I am stunned that I am facing a clutch failure at this point too, in addition to the failing turbo, fuel pump, and now alternator. I assumed it was just a sagging transmission mount.
Anyone want to buy my car? Two owner, all rec's and really well maintained - also still has the new car smell.
