You're kidding me right? You think that any other company in a similar crisis would not be looking to get rid of their resource hogging low volume brands? GM is not making much if anything on the brand. I would admit they seem to be lost as far as positioning the brand and are up against some very tough competition, but never GM ever again because of your brand loyalty to SAAB? The writing on the wall has been there for years. Unless they could launch the brand with unique high demand vehicles the identity has been lost. SAAB has no 'character' any longer. That is GM's fault, but potentially ending a low volume brand makes a lot more sense than bleeding needed cash into a dying brand. GM as a whole may still fail, why would they prop up such a small part?
