I have an almost 1990 Cannondale 3.0 criterium.
Switched to brifters and would never go back. Shifting with your hands on the bars is so much easier and safer. Search the big auction site for older shimano 600 or Ultegra brifters.
The all aluminum Cannondale criterium is GREAT, but it is very harsh.
I also have a Six13 which is also great and much more forgiving on long rides.
The old cannondale sees more frequent use (for commuting, errands, and lock up in the city)
The new cannondale is my weekend, century ride. wish i had more time for it!
what type of riding will you be doing mostly?
