I suppose if you have a nice dry heated garage, it might not be too bad. But, my experience is that older cars sitting just a few weeks start to suffer. Oil drains from bearings, cams, chains, etc; seals dry out, rotors rust, switches corrode. So, you start it up in the spring and the dry bearings get some nice extra wear, PS pump die, the rust on the rotors grinds into your pads and ruins them, the A/C starts to leak, the power mirror switch stops working, etc. Some of these things show up right away, some don't show up for a couple months, but the damage is done.
I think it's much better to drive it every couple weeks and keep everything flowing and in motion. YMMV.
