I used to start my '93 TC every two weeks and let run up to operating tempt. It still used to develope a few oil leaks that disapeared after I started driving it on a regualar basis. One year I said the hell with it, disconnected the battery and let it set all winter. It actually seemed better--fewer oil leaks and none the worse for wear when I started driving it again. While it's contrary to what I would have thought, I think letting it set the whole winter is probably best.
