Michelle,
The c900 is really a 20-30yr old car. While they are more fun to drive than most 2010 autos, they are still pretty old cars. I got the feeling that you were interested in "older" Saabs in general. I've owned 99, 900, 4-9000, and recently 2 9-5 wagons. Don't know your finances, and sorry to hear about the divorce, but if you are looking to buy a used Saab, I'd be looking at the 9-5 for a combination of youth, parts, and reliability. To be honest, I still like driving the 9000 better than the 9-5, but the 9-5 is a good vehicle, and they don't have rust. Aero is worth the $$ as it looks sharp, and handles really well.
Saabs are complicated vehicles. If you are not doing the maintenence yourself, it will cost an arm and a leg. Since they are complicated, they break down more often. On the flip side, resale is weak, so there are opportunities for good buys on used vehicles.
