My old XC70 gave out last fall. Wanted another safe AWD car for the winter for both my young daughters to drive. Ended up with a CPO Volvo S80. Great winter condition car but it's a deathly bore to drive anywhere but the highway. That automatic, even with the turbo just never puts a smile on your face. I much prefer to drive my manual 2001 95SC. But the Volvo keeps my kids safe.

Recently cured my search for perpetual grin car with the aquisition of a totally restored & mechanically rebuilt '73 Sonett. Now there is an exciting little car to drive, although on the highway at 75MPH I keep wanting to shift to 5th. No such luck. Just have to listen the the roar of the old V4 at 4200 rpm thru the dual glass packs.
