This gets a little awkward because you were asked for info. This means the client may already sense something is not quite right--which is why they asked the question. They are watching their back and could move their business somewhere else anyway. Which they may do.
Still, unless your employer is doing something illegal, your obligation as an employee is to them (they do after all, pay you). So you do have to be careful about what you say. You can get in a fair bit of trouble for divulging information that your employer considers proprietary or otherwise confidential.
On the other hand, if you are considering heading for the exit, it could be in your best interest to see if you can have an "off the record" conversation with the client firm you mention in your post. They will likely appreciate the intel you provide, as long as you don't come across with integrity and not as a whiner or disgruntled employee. But you have to protect yourself. The conversation should not be during work hours and probably not on either company's premises. And don't schedule it using your firm's email or a company phone line (wired or wireless). Also, is there an opportunity to go to work for this other firm?
Be careful. Plan your exit. And whatever you do, take the high road. Which may mean just doing your job, looking out for yourself, and getting out when you can.
I'm not a lawyer, consult to companies rather than work for them, and avoid corporate BS as much as possible. So this advice is worth precisely what you pay for it.
Good luck.
