Thanks everyone for the thoughts. I do believe that I have obligations (moral and otherwise) to both my employer and it's clients. While somebody mentioned that I should seek a career outside business, I disagree. I have worked for businesses in the past which had objectives in the area of client satisfaction and service motivated by a desire to do a good job and taking pride in what they did. This does not appear on this organization's radar. It's merely a case of, "how rich can we get, and how is the fastest we can get there?" I do not wish to be part of such a culture, and I will be moving on when a suitable opportunity presents itself. I recognize that divulging to a client that the company has a desire to sell asap to the highest bidder is not appropriate, and I won't do that. Nor am I going to participate in perpetuation of an illusion.
