I'm sure there's no end to the dog owners who'd just LOVE to get rid of the hound for a few hours or days. Dogs are a lot of work and expense--one dog is like a kid and a half and you never get to sent them off to school for a few hours of peace--they are perpetually 3 years old. Yes they can be sweet, affectionate, funny and fun but owning one is a far bigger committment than you can ever realize until you take ownership. You'll spend more time dealing with piss and poop than any sane human
should have to. They (especially pups) can do thousands on dollars damage to your house, furnishings and yard. I hope you don't have wood floors because you can't beleive the damage they do to them--or course piss soaked carpet isn't much more fun other than being easier to replace. I hope you don't have any grass you care about, because there will be a dead spot everywhere they piss and they piss all over--oh, and they love to dig. I hope you don't have neighbors you get along with , because odds are they'll end up hating you and young Mutley. Seriously, watch someone's dog for a week who's going on vacation, that'll give you a much better idea what it's really like. Look before you leap, because once you have one they're totally impossible to get rid of--which is why there's so many at the pound. Other than that they're great fun.
