I largely agree, except to point out there were conceptual designs of the NG900 well back into the fairly early 80's when GM had no part of it. GM did let it go through to the market. Note also that the c900 had hatch/sedan + they could have in principle done the same with the NG900 and the 9-3ss. re the 9-3sc (+kkelley's comment), the functionality is there, but the form is not. Somebody did a nice a nice photoshop of the 9-3ss as a hatch (both 3 doors + 5), and it would have been cool to see something like that + it would have been more to differentiate from the 9-5 (also sedan/wagon), but whatever... it's still a nice car. GM just was too interested in following BMW/Audi...
I don't mind the GM Saabs really, but I'm excited about the future!
