I see a few similarities...
GM seems to have used Saab engineering all over the place:
- Ecotec engine development for the benefit of lots of Chevys
- XWD system offered in the Opel Insignia (aka LaCrosse & 9.5)
- A20DTR diesel engine in the Opel Insignia
(looks like 10 out of the 11 engine choices for the Insignia are at least "labeled" as Ecotec)
And other people I'm sure can think of more examples.
After getting Volvo, Ford has "magically" transformed itself into a "safety" car (at least according to their own ads). You don't suppose they've been using Volvo engineers across their lines for structural safety work? I'm sure someone who's familiar with Volvo can come up with examples.
Wouldn't it be cool if the general public "discovered" that it was Saab who had a real big hand in the Ecotec engine? ... in the Buick LaCrosse?
