Lotta love here, but let me tell you, when they go bad they can go *really* bad. I consider it a coin toss, although proper research up front (service records, carfax, etc.) can help better the odds.
I've had 3 of 'em, all killer road cars with excellent amenities:
1996 9000CS - great car, very reliable, totalled at 141K
2001 LPT - flawless in spite of early abuse (lack of proper maintenance), bought at 67K, still running great at 140K and is my road trip car.
2004 Arc - Newest of the bunch, bought at 41K, looked good, but... dang - $6100 in repairs in 35,000 miles. Oops.
After this experience I doubt I'll buy another one. Even on a good day they need far more maintenance than Japanese cars. Sometimes boring is good. Go on the Accord forums and all the discussion is about mods, wheels, colors, goofy stuff like that, not repair issues...
