As I remember, the 'Billerica Babe' trend (faux mink, satin pumps in a SUV driving to a 'session' at Chili's) started with a scene from the movie "The War of the Roses"(1989, directed by Danny DeVito). Kathleen drives the Bronco over and through a Morgan Plus4 owned by Michael Douglas. That scene prepared me for a divorce five years later!
