Wow. I live in Upstate NY, and have never gotten stuck in either my 9-5 Aero or my 9000T, both equipped with 4 Hakka snows on steelies. Both 5-speeds, admittedly.
Strangely enough, I bought my CPO'd Aero in the middle of the winter a few years ago; I drove it directly to the dealer to get Hakkas put on. A week later, I found myself out in the boonies on mostly unplowed/gravel roads, and wondered if the Aero would match my old 9000T - which was like a tractor in the snow. The 9-5 came through without incident.
FWIW, my spouse got stuck in the driveway in her 9-5 wagon this morning, but she's running all-weather tires...
