Brake Nipple Screw Rounded

I was bleeding brakes today, for the first time on my own. By the time I got to the last one, the nipple screw seems to have been rounded by whoever worked on it (quite a few years ago). The 9mm wrench could wiggle back and forth, and of course not turning the screw. The nipple is preventing the 9mm socket from reaching the screw. What's a good way for getting at it?
BTW, I seem to be getting a lot of air bubbles sucked out of the brake system. Is that normal? Do I need to bleed it until all air bubbles are gone? I'm using a suction pump to suck fluid out of the nipple at each corner in turn, while keeping the reservoir filled.
