You could try an 8mm wrench or a pair of needle nose vice grips. I don't remember the bleeders being difficult to get to. In any case, remove it entirely and replace it with a new one.
You are probably seeing bubbles from air leaking around the hose or past the threads of the bleeder screw, since you are using suction. Normally you apply pressure at the master cylinder reservoir, that way if you see bubbles you KNOW they are coming from the brake system.
