had all kinds of stuff on her resume, was rejected by 17 schools (all of them) and is now on a 2nd run. (( dismissed those who said the 3.2 was not enough, because I thought that all would know how brutal the grading at JHU was). At GWU, where she miraculously got an interview, they said they had 15,000 applications for 175 places. I know believe that if you don't have the numbers, the cover on the app does not get turned. If he applies all over and gets in 2000 miles away from where he wants to be and nowhere else, at least then he has a choice to make. It is much rougher out there than I was willing to believe. When applying, she got one long "tough love" advice note from a big name doctor in our family, and took offense at it, now at least i remember it as correct. She now in a masters program designed to help her get in, maybe she will. And he certainly should not tell any school that that school is not his first choice.
