so summer car is off for winter + stored so it doesn't see salt. but it's not a show car (otherwise I'd do historic insurance)... it's just a relatively rust free c900 we want to keep driving... the winter beater is the one I'd like to be able to drive *very* occasionally in summer. last year we kept it insured all summer, and drove it somewhat, as we only had 2 cars, but now that we have a 9-5, we really don't need it on the road for summer except the occasional jaunt to keep it running nicely (a somewhat rusty, but indestructible 1989 NA c900)... we use both of them for all the short runs around town... 9-5 mainly sees highway... anyway, we turn on/off the summer/winter cars, but I don't think I can turn them on for 1 day and then off again every few weeks...
to a large extent, I just grin and bear the insurance costs... they are less than for 1 leased car... but of course I'm out to get the best deal I can ;-)...
James...
