I bought the car new and noticed that it was pulling to the right almost immediately after leaving the dealership (i test drove a different car but changed my mind on color at the last minute). I brought it back and there was 13LBS in the right front tire. One of the interior cubbies fell off 2 months later. I was constantly bringing it in because the brakes were clunking or not stopping evenly. The glove box fell off. The body seemed to loosen up because the doors started making rattling/rubbing noises at the top of the window frames.

I started it one morning and it made this horrendous noise and brought it into the dealer. I should have had it towed because the service advisor told me that the noise was because one of the metal straps that hold up the gas tank broke. I could have been 1 speed bump away from a fire, i could be blowing it out of proportion, but i don't think so. The car was never in an accident or even a dirt road. I also washed the under carriage about once a week during winter whether there was snow or not.

I dumped it off at Carmax 2 weeks later and am still happily driving the 1996 900S that I tried to trade in on it back in March 2007. The Saab has more expensive problems, but they are forgivable at 15 years and 207,000 miles. BTW I just drove it from Tampa Bay Florida to LA California the long way through Cleveland Ohio and Boulder Colorado.
