We are on our 2nd pilot, and I can't say enough good things about them. The step from a CRV to a pilot is a world of difference. The pilot has good power, okay gas milage for a bigger SUV, and yet really doesn't drive like too big a vehicle.
I don't love the seats, but have been fine with 10 hour drives.
For this reason, if we were looking used to replace the pilot, I would look into the Acura MDX. Otherwise, the lease deal we got on the pilot was too good to pass up at the time. And we are now buying the car, as the buy out price was still well below bluebook value.
If you are looking for a true truck, this is not it. It is important to remember that the pilot is essentially a jacked up minivan. But with saying that, it rides smooth and quiet with lots of room inside....and doesn't look like a minivan.
If you have any questions, shoot. I did a fair amount of shopping before getting our current one.
