The market has spoken. It's over, folks. Sad, but true.
Almost no one was buying Saabs at anything close to sticker price for the last 10+ years because that's what the market said they were worth. I know I never did. All three of the new Saabs I bought starting in Jan 2001 were bought at anywhere from $8K - $10K off sticker price.
Yeah, the cars are great but would any of you have paid over $50K for a NG 9-5 in 2010? Close to $50K for a 9-3 CV? I hope not.
Even if Saab is resurrected, there's no way they can sell their cars at anything close to the break even point, especially with fab and assembly in a high-cost country.
The European car market has way too much capacity so even if GM decided to release Saab, there simply is no demand for that extra capacity. period.
