Just about every washer and drier we had, had a timers go bad, or a catastrophic transmission failure, oil leak, failed sensor, loose fan, etc. A couple fellows I used to work with, kept a spare washer and drier to switch out with the most recent failure. Kept the lady of the house happy, and gave them time for repairs at their leisure. I’m beyond doing repairs unless it is something obvious and simple. Last repair was a shorted Zener voltage regulator in a dehumidifier that had a really cheap mico based control circuit. Lost its gas so it hit the trash.
