The whole write-up is just ramblings of an ignorant urban idiot.
All the fashion elements - come on, it is just a passing appearance trend. Bitching about fins is like bitching about mini/maxi skirts or mullets. Grow up and get over it.
Swing axle, probably, is the only one that could be considered as a proper annoyance, but still - when it's been around, there were tons of other equally dangerous handling limitations - weak brakes, poor tires, etc. Again, even in these times, with all the aids and advanced suspension designs, people continue to crash in turns. There is no cure for stupidity, sorry.
Alarms - the guy obviously never lived in places with higher than average theft rate. I did and I say that a good and well-thought and set alarm is indeed a valuable deterrant.
Three-wheel cars - again, there are/were poor countries where such design was a result of rationing, lack of materials, money, etc. When you face a choice between a wheelbarrow and something self-propelled that no matter how but will carry the load - I'l take the latter. Just like all those did, who made and bought them.
Yet the author failed to mention proprietory everything (fasteners, software protocols), proliferation of "infotainments" and useless gizmos, ever-increasing rims diameter, DOT experiments with lighting, seat belt designs and great many other things that indeed were/are "worst".
Thank you for the laughs, anyway. Just another proof that mainstream media is a loss of time.
