My first car was a '67 Triumph GT6 which also had swing axles. I installed a product called a Camber Compensater which really "settled it's hash." They may have made them for VWs. Swing axles were fine as long as you had the power on coming out of a corner but if you had to back out of it in mid corner look out. A lot of 911 owners found that out first hand
