Small size/weight orders from eeuro used to be shipped fedex (air) and only incurred a $10 (+GST) brokerage fee which I believe you can eliminate by calling fedex in advance and signing up to some program. Basically call them and ask. I haven't bothered. You still will have to pay GST/HST on the value of the order... that's just border rules... heavier shipments were UPS and UPS is awful... but if you call ahead, you can reduce the charges with them also...
with free shipping (over some amount), the border fees become irrelevant and I've been ordering everything from eeuro... However, the new change where $60 shipping is tacked on makes it less appealing. I just priced out an exhaust at eeuro and shipping to Canada is indeed higher now, especially where the order gets kind of heavy: $50 + $72 (or thereabouts)... almost makes me wonder if it is better to do heavy shipments as 2 orders... what is strange to me is that shipping is still free to the USA for the same order: not even a weight penalty!
I'm hoping Matt is able to come back on and explain the changes to us. I placed an order with them back in september and it was completely flawless! So the changes are relatively new...
