It's called hydrocarbon fuel. It takes less room and weighs far less than any other electric battery and is much safer because the hydrocarbon fuel battery doesn't carry 70+% of its reactant internally. The oxidation agent for the hydrocarbon fuel battery is oxygen from the air!

The US is on the verge of becoming the world's top producer and exporter of oil and gas in the next few years thanks to the massive ramping up of production in shale gas. The so-called Hubbert Peak Theory is turning out to be false just like I predicted for over a decade.

The author of that article doesn't realize that all the money spent on wars in the Middleast since 2001 has nothing to do with securing Middleast oil, but everything to do with trying to keep Middleast oil, especially that of Iraq and Iran off-market, so the world oil price doesn't collapse like it did in the late 1990's, so the big oil companies can make more money. Why else do you think a President from Midland,TX (located in the biggest oil production center in the US) and his Haliburton deputy launched the war? All the oil price increase we have witnessed from 2001 thru 2008 had been due to massive monetary inflation in the US Dollar. Oil price has not gone up by one iota compared to the price of industrial metals or precious metals or even food price. The world is obviously not running out of iron or gold. The former is everywhere, and the latter is hardly used in any industrial application. The world is not running out of oil or natural gas either.
