I have a "foursquare" house with front and rear porches, the attic is small, as the only part that is the attic is the square second floor top. That said, I have about 20" overhanging eves with louvered disc vents every 2 feet in the eves, air passes through these and under fiberglass baffles stapled to the roof decking butted up against the heavily insulated attic floor, on to a 12" rotary vent ( looks like jiffypop popcorn - like on a barn roof ) on the peak. Bathroom fan is ducted up to within a few feet of this vent opening, I guess I could bring it all the way up but have never seen moisture and we don't really use it that much. 1/4 inch mesh screen covers the 10" square vent hole on the inside. I have never had any problems with moisture or leakage, which is amazing if you look up through these types of rotary fans, you can see sky, but even in the hardest rains it does not leak. Only problem ive had was ice freezing on the blades and causing a rythmic scraping but that doesn't last long, until the next breeze comes along or it melts. Highly recommended.
