You want attic as same temp and RH as exterior in winter (or as close as possible). Bath fan should have insulated smooth pipe (PVC or metal) that is pitched towards soffit fan vent. Pipe should be R-8 insulated and use a good bath fan like Panasonic. Put bath fan on timer (20 minutes min for showers to evacuate humid air). Soffit vent should be spring loaded type with gasket seal to prevent back draft when fan is off. Many people who have attic mold or worse, when moisture gets trapped in the "slinky" fan vent pipe that collects standing water. This assumes you have adequate existing air venting prior to fixing your existing bath vent issue.
