interesting thought... I wonder if a dehumidifier would have adequate capacity in that regard?
I have often wondered if it would not make a lot more sense to vent a bathroom out through a HRV. Obviously a dedicated HRV would be kind of costly for bathroom use only, but I haven't yet looked to see if code would allow the bathroom venting piped into the return line for a forced air system in the case where the return line was vented to the outside anyway (with an HRV)... I think that would make a lot of sense... one of our bathrooms has one of the most effective heating vents in our house (forced air heat)... so effective that we do not even need to run the bathroom fan while taking a shower if the furnace is running! there is little or no condensation in that situation whatsoever... so it means that *whenever* the furnace is running (even when nobody is showering), the bathroom fan venting acts as a chimney wasting significant heat/$$! something I want to rectify once I get time... makes me wonder how many homes are like that (with the code mandated fans)... the flaps would be great if they worked well, but I can hear ours rattle in the wind!
