Since the guys on lawn mowers cutting the grass would need a similar level of clearance I figured it can't be too involved.
Speaking of clearances. Our youngest son has a high school friend who was accepted for a computer programming job at the National Security Agency after college graduation. Unfortunately his dad had been self employed operating his own computer store which had been forced into bankruptcy not too much earlier. Based on his parent's financial situation this very nice young man was washed out of the NSA prior to the conclusion of his probationary/training period.
I can understand why, but it still doesn't feel exactly fair to the young man.
