Bored because I can't do what I would like to do but am busy trying to find another job. Our Financial Planner says it is not necessary but I would like to have a bigger safety margin than is there right now. Even our son's Shiba Inu is complaining about all the Cover Letters I make him type.

Truth be told, I used the retirement process to resign from an organization which appeared to be entering a death spiral, and from which I would likely have been forced out in another two years or so. All the weird recent pension plan revisons executed by my former employer, combined with current economic conditions, made an exit now better than one in two years time - both financially and in terms of securing another job.
