As I maintain a bunch of Windows PCs at home and work, and deal with software issues daily, I have about zero faith in someone to develop a bug-free autonomous control system for automobiles. Yes, I understand that there are ways to make control systems more robust that PCs, but I am skeptical. On the other hand, I suppose that even an imperfect control system is safer than distracted human drivers.
