I've been working in the computer industry for over 35 years, have been heavily involved in software development, and definitely would not trust a computerized, self-driving automobile. You have to wonder -- when an autonomous car crashes, which will inevitably happen, who will be held liable for the damages?

Those of us who watched the english dub of Astro Boy on TV in the early 1960s also remember what happened to poor Aster Boynton on the robotic, automated roadway of the future in the year 2000!
