How do you spray oil inside a sill/cavity?

Or better yet, how do you spray the oil at all? I can envision some used oil and a generic spray bottle, like what comes with Fantasitc or other cleaners - is this what you use? My 9000 could benefit from some oil spray, and I have a couple of gallons of oil waiting to be taken to the recycler, so ....
