or pb blaster or whatnot... before you strip it and end up drilling etc! if the torx is messed already, if there is any head left you can get vice grips on, try that - the combo of liquid wrench + vice grips has saved me several times... then you just need a new screw from a machine shop! I'd take that any day over drilling etc!
