Get the window sticker pricing, research online what others are paying.

Speak to a few dealers ON THE PHONE - not in the dealership. Give them all the options and color you want.

Then let them come back to you with their lowest price.

Take that lowest price, take a few hundred off - go to the other dealers and let them know what you've found.

Let them come back with their newest lowest cost - if it seems fair with you, purchase it.

If you're financing find out if the manufacturer has any special incentives on financing, do the same if leasing. Remember always negotiate financing or leasing from the agreed to price. With leasing, get all the costs including rate and what the buy out at the end of the lease will be. Read online for more about leasing - it can be tricky depending on how it's written up.

Remember purchasing cars can be an emotional decision - don't let it be for you. There is always another one around the corner.
