Before I got the 2014 MDX, I used to always bring an assistant or alternative driver when taking trips longer than an hour or two each way, so that they could take over the driving when I got tired.
After getting the MDX with semi-autonomous driving, what I discovered was that I could drive much much longer before needing someone else to take over (if ever necessary). I have done multiple 3-4 hour one-way trips without needing anyone to take over driving. Destinations farther away have been reached by flights.
As for going over speed limit, that was not caused by inattentiveness, but an urge to get driving over with when the highway driving wasn't much fun (when driving from point A to point B). Semi-autonomous driving has made those driving conditions more relaxed and less exhausting.
