That would be handled on the backend. Some sort of a chargeback arrangement, perhaps using a credit card on file. The same kind of arrangement as Model 3 will have. Model 3 will have access to superchargers but charging will not be free.

The supercharger protocol is smart enough to know who is charging.

The supercharger network could become a major source of revenue for Tesla if other manufacturers sign up for using the network. As it is, they are shooting themselves in the foot by not doing that.
