Hi. I've got a '95 Saab 900 and considering buying a 9-5 this month. During my research of current models and close competitors, I've run across a couple other retailers who believe that Saab doesn't have a future in North America. I found this hard to believe and can only conclude that these are rumors from other sales groups (notably Volvo). However, in the last few days I've received two phone calls from one of the Volvo team who said that the reason Saab is discounting their cars right now is not to clear them in anticipation of the 2002 models, but rather that Saab can't sell, and may soon go the way of Oldsmobile.

So..., I'm curious if anyone has heard any rumors similar to this out there. Now that GM bought Saab I don't know what to think, and the current $5000 rebates are too similar to the standard GM sales technique to make me simply ignore the rumor. Comments?
