Those who agree with and defend the McDonald's hot coffee suit reasoning and legal decision are among the parasites of our American culture. Those who earn a living through the use of such litigious victimization shenannigans are worse than parasites. I further suggest that such thinking, abuse of common sense and arrogant waste of legal resources is all part of the undercurrent of hatred toward the U.S. which led to the attack on 9/11.
Other parasitic victimization themed litigious opportunities:
I whacked my thumb with a hammer which caused a throbbing injury. I want to sue the maker of the hammer.
I stubbed my toe on a hallway corner at night. I want to sue all contractors who don't provide safety lights on all hallway corners.
I got sick from eating too many twinkies last week and chipped a tooth from hurling into the sink. I want to sue Nabisco for making their product much too good, and the network which aired the commercial which forced me to buy the product in the first place, plus the sink manufacturer for not providing me with a "hurl guard."
