Yes, I was speeding. However, there's no law that I know of where you must not pass on the right. Moreover, if that were true, you couldn't get anywhere here. I believe the rule is that you pass on the left. However, many people drive in the left hand lane and drive the speed limit or less. While I did have enough stuff to block my rear view mirror, I still have both side mirrors (and, my view wasn't completely blocked -- only partially blocked). 18-wheel trucks drive this way all day long, every day. Are they breaking the law, too? I have no problem driving this way, in fact, I drove across the country this way (in my truck). Personally, I'd get rid of the rear view mirror, as the side view mirrors are fine. The only benefit to a rear view mirror is to see who is directly behind you.
I respectfully state that the only law I broke was speeding. It still doesn't mean that someone should attempt to speed up as I pass then tailgate me, then won't leave me alone as I attempt to drop him.
