"As part of the plan, Saab is cutting back its aggressive targets for expanding sales and opening lavish new dealerships in major cities, although officials said plans for adding new models to the lineup remain on track."
The sales will increase with new models, however the latter concerns me. The lavish new dealerships are key to bringing new customers into showrooms. Who the hell wants to go to a Saab dealership that also sells Buicks and Kias??? Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, Mercedes, all the established luxury players have their own dealerships. What makes it worse for Saab is that the majority of the dealerships SUCK...from customer service in the showroom to the repair center.
I thought GM was supposed to flex their $$$ muscle and give us a hand here. Saab could've done this without being a GM product!
