deal with the more fuel efficient cars of today so they are getting less revenue then they did per car when we had bad gas gusslers years back. That doesn't make sense though because there are a lot more cars on the road today so wouldn't that give then increased taxes? I guess they would be getting less per car to maintain the roads so it sounds like they may need a new system. They repaved a street here in Beaverton that didn't need it and the person in charge told me that they don't have budget problems because it is funded by the gas tax. I've also heard that the Dept of Transportation has been stealing gas tax money to use for other projects that are not roads! That is why the roads are in such bad shape. Some also want to force us out of our cars for mass transit. Yes this Socialist State of Oregon is trying to tax us into the ground. VOTE NO ON 28 AND MAKE THE GOVERNMENT END WAISTFUL GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS THAT GOVERNMENT SHOULDN'T BE INVOLVED IN the first place. The problem is that they will cut the programs we like and need and punish the citizens for saying no to the all powerful god: "Government". That GPS thing will never fly in America. It will probally happen in Socialist Britan first.
