Since we have experts on these vehicles, how many are sold to rental services? I suspect all the major companies have them. It's not octogenarians renting them. Maybe 18-35 yr olds don't represent a significant portion of renters, but there are a lot of 35-55 yr olds who have mp3 players or smart phones, and they probably represent a very large percentage of renters.
My original post raised the question of a stripper radio, for police, taxi, etc service, but the "normal" radio should have been updated in the past 10 years (it did have a 6-disc changer, so much for your argument of no change for no change's sake, like an aux input was even a reasonable example of that philosophy), or at least Ford should offer an optional radio upgrade for rental use and the occasional 60-yr old buyer who has a pulse, or at least might want their kid (or grandkid) to think they're halfway hip.
