All new Buicks roll on 18" wheels except for the Lacrosse ECO hybrid which comes standard with 17" wheel. They have no problem with ride comfort and NVH. Where the Juke offers 18" upgrade from 17" wheels and rides like a basic Japanese car loud and crude. I know as I have been in a few circa 2012 Japanese cars/CUV and they are worse then lower Chevys of today. An Autoblog podcast had a couple of journalist comparing notes on the new Hyundai Azera and they said similarly about road noise and total driving experience of the Korean car. They keep saying H/K(Hyundai/Kia) have come along way but are still coming up short for the price point. The 2013 Kia Sportage I drove reminded me of an ox cart before I drove the Encore. There is a big difference in drivibility and less of a difference in price. The girlfriend has 2012 Subaru Forester(Toyota owns 17% of Fuji Heavy Industries) and after driving the similarly priced Encore for a day said she wants to trade. ;) Unfortunately it is leased and not the best way to buy them outright. Her Forester reminds me of a truck with no sound deadening and terrible wind noise. Besides her Forester has terrible piston slap at cold start-up and runs low on oil before change mileage expires, I blow fuses in the cigarette lighter and the power windows slow if you put them all up at the same time due to typical weak Japanese electrical systems. I have her drive all CUVs when her lease is up next year and report back. She does like the Buick refinement but doesn't like the blind spot in the rear.
Buick outsells all near-luxury and luxury(Acura, Volvo, Audi, Cadillac, Infinity...) except for BMW, Lexus, and Mercedes in 2013.
Add some luxuries to a Juke and call it Q30 and it won't be any faster than my Encore AWD with a Trifecta Tune(current holds off V8 Chevy Silverado from 20 mph until their 98 mph speed limiter.
