You are into a branch of car repairs where I don't even want to go, and doing what you are doing makes you even more vulnerable for less then perfect people and their demands.
Turning a car back into stock performance as it was suppose to work when it rolled of the factory line (what I do) can sometimes be tedious and expensive.
Turning a stock car into a fire breathing monster (as what you are into) for little to no money is an art and surely not a precise science.
I "did my time" back in the 80s with head works, larger valves and dual 45s Weber on the cars and I don't have the deep interest anymore that it takes to squeeze out horse powers.
People with lots of money can always get what they want, but you also have people that beleive they can get a load of "horsees" by throwing in a K&N air filter and they get miffed when it didn't happen.
Pre existing conditions on a car can really make your day go sour too.
Being visible "on the net" is kind of a must for newly started businesses nowadays but can be both a blessing and a curse.
Someone with a vengeance for one or another reason can make it tough on you and you never know, it could also be a competitor trying to minimize your business.
People really need to take everything they read on the net with a grain of salt but some tend to use it as gospel instead.
Anyway, I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and tomorrow it's back to tinkering with broken toys again.
