a MBC+A works so much better (T5 only)
Many folks like the T5 to see what they can do with the stock ECU, and the results can be very good.
If you want to drop the $$$, ECU mods are great. The PPC is falling into disfavor as some serious doubts about the speedparts/BSR ECU programming have surfaced. So you may be looking at an ECU swap. PPC is T7 only.
Dropping $$$ into a 1999 or older for an ECU mod would be questioned by many as the vehicle is so old. How many years would you get out of it?
You do not need a new turbo, thats the last thing that would make sense from an economic cost/benefit point of view. For a T5, except 99 HOT, the weak link would be the IC, and a Viggen IC is a cheap and effective upgrade. You would be looking to put money onto suspension upgrades well before maxing out HP mods. The suspension is great, but not as built in the factory!!!
